How does a nitrogen generator work?

PCL’s N72 nitrogen machine works through a process called PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption). Similar to a membrane generator, a PSA system passes air through, however it uses tightly packed materials called a carbon molecular sieve instead of a membrane. This sieve allows the oxygen and other air molecules to become trapped, while the nitrogen molecules pass through, leaving high purity nitrogen.

Unlike other PSA systems, the N72 is about half their size and a third of their weight, making it easy to move around your shop!
